Tulum, Mexico Boho Luxe Intimate Wedding // Cenit + Poncho
Elopements and Destination Weddings are becoming something more and more popular. The real beauty in the experience of sharing such emotional moments between two lovers at their dream destination with just their closest friends and family is something so magical. Have you ever thought of eloping or having a destination wedding? What challenges come to mind that would prevent you from experiencing this with your love? I’d absolutely love to walk you the process and journey of bringing your wedding dreams to reality, because it’s 2020 and anything is possible!
In DC where I am based, we are finally coming out of hibernation of the cold and rainy months and my island girl heart is singing. I grew up in Haiti among palm trees and jungle so you can only imagine my thrill when I got to spend a few days in Mexico at the end of last year at 16 Tulum .
This was my first time visiting Tulum and I just love the aesthetic of Tulum – the hotels have such an amazing style, the place just feeds my creativity. There’s so much to do there - bike around in the sunshine, bounce from beach to beach bar, play in the sea and eat all the açai bowls – what’s not to love! The wedding scene is thriving, it is home to some of the best wedding creatives I’ve ever worked with. So when the opportunity came to attend Thrive Wildly, an amazing photography education workshop, in Mexico it was an easy YES for me. During that time I got to shoot with the beautiful Puerto Rican model, Cenit Nadir, and her boyfriend Poncho, who flew into Mexico for this collaboration with Thrive Wildly. Below are photos taken at 16 Tulum, which is a minimalist’s hideaway heaven. I will have another blog post soon about some of my favorite venues in Mexico for you to check out for your planning, but definitely start considering 16 Tulum for your destination wedding! It’s super private, minimal, and intimate.
All vendors will be shared at the end!
